Neustar Offer Resellers Domain Services to Assist New TLD Registrations

ICANN’s proposal to release new TLD’s has not been out of the news this month, as domain resellers across the world think of the opportunities this will bring them, in terms of new sales with people trying to secure their brand names within the new TLD markets.

Following the announcement of this proposal and the implementation over the following year, Neustar have launched their ‘Brand Assurance Package’, a facility that offers any company that wish to get their own branded TLD some help and assistance through their application.

The package will cost you ten thousand dollars and is aimed towards companies who wish to register their brand and secure their own TLD but do not have the time or expertise to complete the applicaiopn. The assistance will ensure that companies meet all the requirements stipulated by ICANN including IPv6, DNS and WHOis specifications.

If the company is then successful in securing their chosen TLD then the package can then be upgraded to include more specifications, including a ‘Strategic Advisor’ who is there to help optimise the online presence of the TLD and navigate ICANN policy that a company may not be familiar with. This cost is entirely separate from the one hundred and eight five thousand dollar fee that they would pay to ICANN directly for the submission of the application.

This service that Neustar are offering is a great way to assuage the panic that companies are feeling given that the application window for the new TLD programme is only three months. With such rigorous application rules, the service means that companies can rest assured that the applications that they are submitting are going to achieve the criteria set, and not be a wasted outlay. Are you looking to register your own TLD, or will you just choose to sell some of the approved TLD’s through your custom storefront?
